Magni56 ::: Favorites I just said that it´s possible. I never said that it´s easy. :) And sometimes, the tank is not on the move. There are always tricks to pull. Especially in the terrain in SOuthern Lebanon. Blocking a road by creating an avalanche, for example. 07-06-14 13:54:19 _____________________________________________________
NimDod ::: Favorites an RPG7 has little chance penetrating a modern MBT, unless it hits one of its soft points, like the rear or the gap between the hull and the chasis. a modern RPG29 would penetrate all modern tanks if it hits the rear or the side of the tank. Hezbullah's "ace" in the war was the ATGM, like the Korent-E and the Matis. 07-06-28 17:40:38 _____________________________________________________
Magni56 ::: Favorites Bingo. What´s the mean thing about those RPG´s: They´re so cheap that any idiot can afford to buy the ammo. And as an old saying goes: There´s nothing like too low accuracy. There´s only something as too few guns firing. Or the short version: Quantity is a quality of it´s own. 07-06-29 13:35:05 _____________________________________________________
NimDod ::: Favorites well, only an orginazation that doesnt mind losing its men as conno fodder can implement that sort of tactics. like the RPG kinds in Afganistan, the Iranians in the Iran-Iraq war and in other conflics - if "Quantity is a quality" is your tactics - get ready to dig alot of graves. a modern Democratic country just cant do it. 07-06-29 15:29:58 _____________________________________________________
Magni56 ::: Favorites Agreed. The man that stated this wasn´t quite an epitome of democracy, either. 07-06-29 16:00:44 _____________________________________________________
yolok1 ::: Favorites This is pure propoganda... lol .... did it mention the israelis use blood of infant palestinians to make bread im not sure, well i could have sworn it did .... oh well 07-07-11 20:30:52 _____________________________________________________
viclope ::: Favorites It'd be foolish to stop Merkava development and production, Israel gets a lot of prestige from it, plus all the vital national high-tech industry it develops... it's invaluable 07-07-19 22:21:58 _____________________________________________________
viclope ::: Favorites I agree, pure propaganda. Israelis don't be fooled, don't make peace with terrorists, they don't want peace, they want your destruction 07-07-19 22:25:21 _____________________________________________________
sarajlia ::: Favorites US gives 5.5 billion dollars in "aid" to Israel every year. They can afford this... 07-07-20 03:42:44 _____________________________________________________
SwineNahNah ::: Favorites Do they wanna say that Merkava is outdated? Well, NO TANK is designed to fight guerrillas, that is also what Aljazeera says (when we clean of propaganda [censored]). But there is a way - replace Merkava's turret with howitzer, make it a self propelled gun and level Arab settlements with it before infantry moves in, then there will be no need to move armour into ambushes. Is that what Aljazeera is proposing? 07-07-22 11:15:00 _____________________________________________________ |
