mtross70 ::: Favorites 2007-12-21 12:47:53 this coward backed out of a JC fight 6 years ago and looks like he's doing it again. go to calzaghes website it will tell u everything there is to know about BH running scared again. BH website mentions nothing about JC or a possible fight. bh found a way for white men not to beat him? backout of fights lol __________________________________________________
gert83 ::: Favorites 2007-12-21 05:04:16 I can't believe PBF hasn't ruled out the rematch - what can he gain? But he hasn't, so maybe we'll see them fight again. I think Mayweather liked the British fans, and to be fair I think the british fans kind of liked him too at the end. maybe "respected" is a better word than "liked"... __________________________________________________
gert83 ::: Favorites 2007-12-21 04:55:36 That's true, but I just think Cortez was SO biased Hatton wasn't only fighting the world's best pound for pound, but the ref too! Oh well, maybe there will be a rematch. PBF has nothing to win from a rematch, but apparently he hasn't ruled it out. PBF would still win 9/10 times against Hatton, but with a better ref the contest might be more interesting - maybe a classic? __________________________________________________
allankles ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 18:48:57 It wasn't that Hatton wasn't allowed by Cortez is that he wasn't really willing to go on the inside without resorting to mauling. Hatton really isn't a great inside fighter, Cotto is a great inside fighter, Hatton just mauls and clinches. If Hatton was willing to actually fight on the inside PBF would have pummeled him form the opening bell. PBF clinched to avoid, getting mauled and to completely smother Hatton's hold and hit style. __________________________________________________
UziWong ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 14:49:54 Wot u got against Calzaghe? He's the best Britain's got at the moment. You dislike him just because he's Welsh? __________________________________________________
VallaeBoy ::: Favorites 2007-12-20 11:54:27 No doubt styles make fights. Brawlers love to come forward, throw big blows and mix it up on inside. The way Cortez called it did put Ricky at a disadvantage no doubt.......but its up to Ricky to adjust. Thats the difference between a club fighter and a WORLD CLASS PRO. __________________________________________________
TimoSkem ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 13:33:17 Although im from england (Great Britian) I hope so baddd bernard hopkins Batters that welsh twat Joe. __________________________________________________
gert83 ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 12:50:34 Watch the fight again VallaeBoy. Don't get me wrong - Hatton's a brawler, whilst Mayweather has class, but class doesn't always win. Remember Nigel Benn? Remember Steve Collins? These guys outbrawled classier, more athletic opposition (think Benn v McClellan). The ref turned something which could have been interesting into a total no-contest, and the more I watch the repeat the more I thnk that. I want my £15 back! __________________________________________________
VallaeBoy ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 11:38:04 To say he allowed PBF to clinch and not Hatton, is subjective, imaginary and ridiculous. Bottom line PBF KNOCKED OUT RICKY. You can buy a decision not a knockout. PBF started fighting for real in the later rounds because he always starts slow(He's been doing that before and after Ricky)You need to watch more BOXING 101 cause you sound like you just watch MMA __________________________________________________
reallyhuh ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 08:20:03 Wait till Joe Calzaghe gets hold of this little rat!... __________________________________________________
caneman123 ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 07:16:02 you guys need to take this crap to a message board some where.(maxboxing, fighthype, doghouse, secondsout) i mean yes, early on PBF actually held more but in the end it didn't matter cause hatton couldn't land hardly anything...and PBF landed @ a very high % once he got going so stop trying to make us drink your koolaid! thanks __________________________________________________
gert83 ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 06:33:00 The more I watch Hatton v. Mayweather the more I think Cortez deserves censure. Mayweather bear hugged Hatton when he came forward, then penalised Hatton for holding! Hatton can take a punch (look at his face) but the clash of styles was totally ruined by the ref. The best £15 notes I've spent, not. __________________________________________________
gert83 ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 06:22:23 OK, watch the Hatton Mayweather fight again, and tell me this wasn't the pattern in the first rounds. a) Hatton would try to get inside PBF. b) PBF would put him in the clinch c) Cortez would step in and tell Hatton to stop holding! Unbelieveable! And it happened time after time. That's gonna demoralise any fighter. With a 7" reach adv. the ony way for Hatton to beat PBF was to get inside, and he wasn't allowed to. __________________________________________________
shankthatup ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 03:32:21 because boxing isnt the same thing as wrestling sadly hatton doesnt understand that __________________________________________________
