His parents are abusive and don't care if he lives or dies.Erik decides to inlist in the Army to try and make a better life for himself, on the day he is suppose to leave he goes into a diner and talk's to the waitress, Christine, and he talkes to her, telling him how he feels about his life and such. One she gets off work they go and talk for a while and get to know each other.He askes her if he could send a letter to her, since he has know one else to send a letter to .Just as everything was getting better for Erik, it as time for him to leave. They said their goodbyes and as the song goes on finally realize that they love each other. Erik expressing his feeling through his letters. Christine waited and waited for him to send her a letter and maybe finnally return home, until one friday night at a school function, when she head what changed her life forever. What will happpen?
