Now what happens when something really funny or sexy happens on the screen? you want to tell me you won't be a little distracted? I use GPS and a cellphone but I will never use anything with a viewing screen while I am driving. audio is one thing, video will always subtract from your concentration.

Not really. Look where it's positioned. Looking in the rearview mirror literally is more distracting then seeing the screen of my cellphone. Heck, spending too much time reading a billboard could be argued as more distracting. I would venture to say that a cellphone might pose a greater risk if it rang and one had to answer it. With my set up, the phone rings and the TomTom, which has bluetooh, automatically answers it. I don't have to touch a thing but the steering wheel.

My cell also answers calls but how can you really follow a plot of even a sitcom and still claim you are not distracted.just because there are other things that can distract you does not mean you need to either pay attention to them or find other personal things that can distract. you should pay attention to the road.

I do pay attention to the road. As a matter of fact, I have positioned them so it is the safest for my viewing pleasure. My set up is no more a distraction for me then any one else on the road. Also, you're assuming I'm trying to focus deeply on a show. As you know sitcoms are mindless. And most of the time, I'm tuned into ESPN watching MLB. I'm sure when the radio came out people argued that it was a distraction on the road. 10 years from now, my set up will be a standard issue on cars.

many advanced techologies have security concerns. I am not against the gadget thing, I am known as a gadget freak with many of them. I do however do not accept them as inevitable. once radar guided systems like in the mercedes S-class will be standard issue I am guessing you will need very little attention to drive.

But when you listen to, say, a talk radio show. Which I have done for years while driving, isn't that a least as taxing (more I would thinking) than a sitcom plot? Just asking. I mean, screaming at the top of you lungs to Rush Limbaugh could be dangerous.

Wow how cool. If you did that in UK though you be prosecuted for dangerous driving. Real strict on that kind of thing. The police have been told to look for this. Many fatal accidents in UK due to sleeping at wheel or via use of cell phones. Totally amazed you could get away with showing videos from your dashboard. You guys are so lucky over there, or unlucky depending on what angle your coming from.

Cool setup. It is probably safest to just drive during the commercials. 5 stars.
