Description:
On lap 3, Neil Bonnett had some engine problems and pulls the car off the race track with some fire under the hood and climbs out. NASCAR didn't throw the caution until the next lap. |

PsychedelicGuy ::: Favorites Man that is some major mis-communication there if Neil had dropped oil on the racing groove that woulkd have been a mojor problem. Thankfully the saftey in NASCAR is better today. 07-05-23 11:59:43 _____________________________________________________

Zardoz99 ::: Favorites I know, safety was a joke. Race to the start finish line was hazardous. The late cautions, and responders after crashes. But it made racing more exciting back in the old days. 07-05-30 22:11:24 _____________________________________________________
gadgefan48 ::: Favorites So, just a little curious, what happened to Bill Elliott...did he get injured in the 125's? 07-05-23 17:02:15 _____________________________________________________
Buggy1Boy ::: Favorites Bill injured his left wrist in practice when tryed those new radial tires for the first time and Bill hit the wall at over 195mph. And then he qualified with one hand and broken wrist. 07-05-23 18:29:47 _____________________________________________________
gadgefan48 ::: Favorites Wow. Thanks for clearing that up. 07-05-23 18:56:46 _____________________________________________________
toomuchtoomuch ::: Favorites Tony Stewart should've referenced this incident during his radio tirade after Phoenix this year. He could say, "NASCAR will throw a phantom caution for a piece of roll bar padding at the top of the turn, and they used to keep the race green if a human was rolling around in the bottom of the turns." In all seriousness, that was retarded to not throw the yellow. 07-06-05 20:00:29 _____________________________________________________ |
