There are many uses for swearing, and one of them is conveying strong personal feeling, further it can also be used to gloss over something rather than going in depth. I knew every "off color" word that I know now- by the time I was out of third grade. And if anywhere swearing is appropriate; a totally public forum with nearly absolute anonmyity is the place for it.
