Description:

is there a connection? YES! I just want to say that while 95% of the people saying that biomed doesnt work fall into the two groups of doctors/professionals and the autistic community (people with autism)...that does not mean that 95% of the members of those communities share that belief.

i personally have my own aspie traits. i am far from having aspergers because of above average social skills but i have my quirks. i see those same quirks in jake and i know to not bother trying to change those, you cant and it causes stress and anxiety for both parties. i agree thats the genetic element to autism. parents have to recognize that.

im extremely sorry to hear that. i really am. (about your son) i totally agree with everything you said in your comments. many parents would claim that the 'genetic autism' you speak of is just 'quirckiness'. i agree that it is the genetic part to autism. you are so right though when you say autistic symptoms and genetic autism are different things. education is needed for both sides. i will be doing a video on this actually. thanks for your great comments and i agree with EVERYTHING you say.

I have 8 children on the Spectrum and one is totally non-verbal. I know the spectrum. I am an Aspie. Those of us that speak out are the "higher functioning" Autistics but do not think we do not understand all of our Autie Family!!! Autism does not kill, Ignorance kills, bad care-taking and poor community support kills but Autism does not kill. My son killed himself because he could not cope and that was because of OUR IGNORANCE as to how to help him at the time!

My children are in my mind and I actually tried every know biomedical intervention and the genetic Autism my children have is not treatable. Autistic Symptoms and Genetic Autism may be two different things and we may need to stop fighting each other in order to discover that fact.

Actually if Biomedical treatments in moderation helps a child with their Autistic behaviors GREAT! There is a difference between treating a behavior and changing the condition of your child's brain. What we actually are more afraid of than loss of community is Eugenics and Discrimination.

i totally agree...my other videos show which treatments worked for me and they are the only ones i endorse because i only show what i can personally vouch for. im NOT saying others dont work, all im saying is that if i have a video of it then im not taking anyone elses word for it that it works, im going by what i personally saw. for me its restrictive diets, Mb12 shots, and glutathione IVs. thanks!

Also, you summed up what I was going to say at the end of your statement. The spectrum is so diverse and each individual is so unique that at this point, nobody can safely say, "X treatment works across the board." Likewise, nobody can say "X treatment DOESN'T work all the way across the board." Sure, certain ones may not be scientifically proven, but if they work for your child, stick with it. If they don't work, try something else. It's about finding what your specific child needs.

I hear a lot of parents in my line of work say that along with sending their kids to the ABA special needs school where I work, some of them also have their kids on biomedical treatment. I've also come across parents on YouTube who have done biomedical treatment. The problem I run into in trying to research this is that the term "biomedical" is such a broad definition, and there are many different kinds of treatments. Do you know which ones are actually "good" and which ones are a scam?

this is why I love the Geier treatment protocol, that my kids (4) are on. Doc did a complete medical lab workup to make sure there are no genetic type causes (fraiglex or rhetts, prader, etc) also checked testosterone, dhea, dheas, androgen, porphorins, and started the protocol from there.

Once again, you rule. In some of the recovery videos I post of children who were severly injured, but who have had dramatic recoveries (improvements, not cures) but I invariably get comments, "They still look autistic to me". They discount the huge improvements. Autism is not like pregnancy, where you are or aren't and that's it. There are degrees of it, and I am afraid many neurodiverse have no clue how bad it can be for those less fortunate than them. People die from this.
